anything else of value, proper CARE
OF BEAUTIFUL FURS is essential. Here are steps we strongly
recommend:
1. COLD STORAGE: Necessary
every summer. Heat and humidity present
the greatest dangers and can easily
destroy any fur – even one that’s
brand new. The vaults at Flemington
Furs are the safest place to store your
furs and fine outerwear!
2. REGULAR CLEANING:
Annual cleansing and conditioning makes
a real difference. Not just the fur,
but its lining too.
Our “Platinum Seal Conditioning”
process is second to none!
3. PRACTICE GOOD WEARING HABITS:
Avoid carrying heavy handbags
or allowing jewelry to rub against your
fur. Always hang yours on a specially
designed fur hanger that evenly distributes
weight. If the fur gets damp or wet,
hang in a
properly ventilated space – when
it dries, shake it briskly. NEVER store
your fur in plastic or any type of bag
(travel
bags are meant for travel) and NEVER
store your fur in a
cedar closet.
4. ATTEND TO REPAIRS:
Regardless of how trivial. The smallest
rips and tears should be handled immediately,
otherwise you’ll risk further
damage and costly repairs.
